Red and blue did rescue!!

Thank you to all those who purchased from Levi's top 5 for the Flood Relief Appeal.
You raised $315 and every cent helps. I withdrew that money so that Levi saw it tangibly and we donated it at Westpac directly...its an awful lot when you are 3 and and the only money you get to touch usually is a 20c piece! (Followed by hand sanitiser)

If you are anything like us you have talked through your Flood or Emergency Family Plan...ours consists of getting everyone to safety upstairs or failing that on the roof, followed by me returning, by my husband's advise, and methodically taking each item we would like to 'lose' to water damage back down stairs away from safety!

Still praying for the Queenslanders and hoping we get the chance to help even more intensely, thank you again for adding poignancy to Levi's anxiety...

Much love,
Shannon

Thank You!

Thank you so much for supporting our effort to support the Crisis!

We are raising lots of money for the Appeal, and that is down to your contribution as much as ours. I wanted to hark out loud that Levi is beside himself and we check everyday to see that another owl mobile has been purchased and created another donation!
I have to say this has been such a practical and real way to demonstrate giving and serving to a 3 year old, and he is soaking it all up. But, more than anyone, it is I who is learning the greater lesson.

Levi's Top 5 Picks for the Flood Appeal will continue until January 31st...unless demand by you is still making the cause irresistible.

Watch this space for a total of your contributions,

Kind wishes,
Shannon

Our Flood Appeal Contribution; Red and blue to the rescue...

So, in the midst of my 3 year old son remarking constantly on the horror of the deluge of water that has banished so many from their homes and left them with nothing, he made comment on all of our lovely things and made me privy to his own panic that they too would be washed away and devastate his own room.

In trying to reassure him of his and their safety, we agreed to try to help the boys and girls of QLD. It took a matter of hours to convince him that as magical as our Christmas Tree has looked (i think the gifts tucked underneath did it) that it wasn't the most practical of items for us to send them, so instead we agreed that he could rummage (delicately) through Mummy's Milly Molly Mandy stock and pick his 5 favourite goodies with which we would begin to support the families who no longer have anything clean, bright, or their own to look upon.

So it was born, our modest effort to make a contribution...

Levi's pick is featured below and 20% from every item sold will be donated to the Flood Victims.

Pick 1; Checkered Up, Boy's Cushion

So make your way to www.madeit.com.au/MillyMollyMandy or click on each of Levi's Picks to purchase one of these RED AND BLUE TO THE RESCUE designs and raise money for the those in need, by having 20% of every item donated.

Warm wishes,
Shannon

What a lovely blog page i have!

So i logged into my blog, and because its been so long (and the guilt was weighing me down) i was throroughly surprised at its loveliness. Way out of date and SO lacking in DETAILS, but lovely all the same!

So, what a year. Don't be afraid i am not about to do one of those blog spews where exceedingly boring tales about someone's life has to fill the page just to take up space...surely that is the only reason we are forced to read paragraphs of " then Jess the dog and i had our daily exercise on the local beach, where Jess was harrassed by some ducks, who chased her in the water, where of course i had to follow, much to our delight and so...."BLAH!
Seriously, i just read something to that effect about 3 minutes ago.
Back to me.
So my husband, (the lesser educated of us) reckons i should become a professonal blogger. Maybe i wasn't supposed to let on that i was about to attempt this feat. Oh well its said now, its not like i can take it back and erase my words now, what's done is done...
So feel entirely free to post comments on the exciting blogs you will be reading, nothing rude please and only practical criticism, from which i can learn.
Feel free to to subscribe, and attract as much advertsing attention for me as you wish, and on the side, please feel free to buy my bespoke, one off, dreamily imaginative homewares for children and the young at heart from www.madeit.com.au/MillyMollyMandy any time you are searching for a special item for the miniature people in your world.
And if you weren't feeling enough responsiblility about boosting my career and dreams and feel that in this transaction you are owed something, i relent and offer you in return some genuine moments of merriment, some gutsy and real revelations about real life issues and will be giving subscribers regular discounts and offers on Milly Molly Mandy designs.
Come on people, don't sigh...that was huge for me!
